We will not stand for it in Turkey, in our Indigenous Communities, in our Politics, in our homes, on our streets... As women we are strong and it is in our nature to come together and rise up for what is right.

RESURRECTION
by meg mccraken

He thought he could erase you,
make you disappear from the story of humanity
and the dignity of all that matters.
But when he killed you,
when he touched you,
when he raped you,
when he punched you and sliced up your worth with the flick of his tongue
when he stole your little girl,
who you have never seen again,
something was set into motion,
the power of which will handily
overcome and outlive
the damage he’s done by his taking.

A surge of mothers, grandmothers,
sisters and daughters is building
and like the tide
together we rise,
we will be your eyes
and your breath
your heart in your chest
we will be your courage and pain
we will come together in your name,
we will take to the streets, and the temples,
to the corporations and all future generations.
We will take each other
into the strength of our arms
and hold on in a bond that will never give up.
We will be your story of strength and survival,
a complete revival of your beauty, your love and your worth.
He can not erase you.
